License registration / activation

Q: When I register a license on OMRON License Manager, I receive the error message "The license number you entered does not exist. Please check your entries and try again."

A: The license number you entered may be incorrect. Please check the license number on your license certificate and try again. Please note that the license number consists of alphanumeric characters (A to Z and 2 to 7). The numerals 1, 8, 9, and 0 are not used.

NEWQ: I registered a license on OMRON License Manager but cannot use Sysmac Studio. (The license is not activated.)

A: There is a possibility that the license activation information is not properly stored in the computer for some reason, such as network or computer status. In this case, the following steps may be taken to avoid this problem.
Step1: Open the License Portal and go to the "License Activation Status" page.
Step2: Click the [Download] button for the corresponding license number and download the offline authorization file (license file).
Step 3: Start OMRON License Manger, select the appropriate license in the list, and click the [Activation] button.
Step 4: In the dialog box that appears, click the [License Import] button, select the downloaded license file in the dialog box that appears, and then click the [Offline Activation] button.

Q: I would like to know how I can register / activate a network license.

A: You can register and activate your license number via OMRON License Manager. OMRON License Manager can be downloaded from the License Portal. For instructions on how to use the software, please refer to Register the License 1: Display the Registration Page
