Browser connection to Web UI failure
Here’s how to troubleshoot when your browser can’t connect to the Data Flow Controller’s Web UI.
Failure in network connecting Data Flow Controller and PC.
Make sure the LINK indicator on the Data Flow Controller’s Ethernet communications port is lit.
If the LINK indicator is not lit, one of the problems listed on the left may be cause. Securely connect the Ethernet cable, or replace the cable or network device.
DIP switches 1 and 2 set ON and OFF, respectively.
The Data Flow Controller starts using the default IP address.
To use the set IP address, start the Data Flow Controller with both DIP switches 1 and 2 set to ON.
Incorrect IP address (or host name) entered in browser.
Specify the IP address or host name set for the Data Flow Controller.
Same IP address / host name shared by two or more units on network.
Review the settings and make sure that the same IP address or host name is not used on the same network.
Connection cannot be established using host name because it cannot be resolved by DNS or mDNS.
Check that the IP address setting for the DNS server is correct or that mDNS is enabled.
PC cannot communicate with Data Flow Controller because its network settings are set incorrectly or its firewall function is enabled.
Check that the network settings for your computer are correct. Review the firewall settings on the computer to ensure that communications with the Data Flow Controller are allowed.
TLS connection failed because certificate or key registered to enable HTTPS communication is invalid.
Perform initialization (factory reset) to restore the factory settings.
Register the correct certificate and key again.
