[Custom] Visualizing electricity usage with the Equipment Monitoring Package
Visualize the data collected from a power monitor (model: KM-PM) in the dashboard.
NEWAdding a component to SpeeDBee Synapse
This procedure assumes that the dashboard for the Equipment Monitoring Package has been created.
In the SpeeDBee Synapse Screen, switch [Run] to [Edit] on the upper right.
In the Component Base pane on the left, click [Collector] and drag and drop [EtherNet/IP Collector] onto the component.
Enter a desired name and the host (IP address of KM-PM), and click the [ADD] button.
From the setting method dropdown menu, select [CIPObject], and enter the Class ID, Instance ID, and Attribute ID (click □).
(In the example, the IDs are entered to collect effective power data of 1-phase 2-wire, Circuit A from KM-PM.)
To collect data of any other phase wire type or data other than effective power, enter appropriate IDs by referring to pages 76 to 78 in the KM-PM User’s Manual.
Note that you must enter all IDs in decimal format.
Enter a desired name in the Column name below, select a Data type from the dropdown menu (in the example, [DINT], which is the data type of effective power, is selected), and enter “1” in the Array size.
After completing the entry and selection, click the [Save] button above.
Clicking ▶ of the KM-PM component turns it green and activates it.
NEWSetting how to display graphs in the Chart Display Tool
In the SpeeDBee Synapse Screen, click the graph icon on the upper right to start the Chart Display Tool. Click [Dashboards]. Click the name of the dashboard for the Equipment Monitoring Package. (In the example, the dashboard named “TEST” is selected.) Click [Production Result Dashboard] since we add the effective power to it in the example. The KPI is displayed in the graph.
Click [Edit] on the upper right. From the dropdown menu in the expanded [Add] tab, click [Visualization].
Click [Column name:] on the lower left, and from the dropdown menu, select the name of the SpeeDBee Synapse component you created.
In the displayed graph, click the [Back to dashboard] button on the upper right to return to the dashboard screen.
Confirm that a panel with the graph has been added and adjust the position of the graph.
You can adjust the panel size on the lower right of the graph. To set or change the display name, on the upper right of the graph, select [Menu] > [Edit] > [Panel options] > [Title].
After completing the dashboard screen, click the [Save dashboard] button on the upper right and then the [Save] button to save it.
