As part of these efforts, OMRON also focuses on enhancing security across the entire supply chain.

From a security perspective, OMRON asks its suppliers to give due consideration to the following points:

  • Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) activities are in place.
    • Relevant certifications, such as IEC 62443-4-1, are obtained where applicable.
  • Product security–related policies are publicly available, including:
    • Product Security Policy
    • Vulnerability Handling Policy
  • Activities are conducted in accordance with these policies, such as PSIRT (Product Security Incident Response Team) activities.
  • The scope and duration of vulnerability support and response are clearly defined.
