[Notice] Enhanced password protection used for UM Read Protection of the Omron CJ-series Programmable Controllers.

Password protection used for UM Read Protection is enhanced.

We recommend to use the latest PLC with increased security to prevent malicious third-party attacks on password-protected programs.

[Solution]

Use the following CPU Units.

  • CJ2M unit version 2.1 or later
  • CJ2H unit version 1.5 or later

Use Extended Passwords of the above recommended PLC Units.
The latest version of the CX-Programmer （version 9.6 or higher） is required to use Extended Passwords.

プログラマブルコントローラ（以下、PLC）CJシリーズの「UM読出プロテクト機能」（以下、本機能）に使用しているパスワード保護機能を強化します。

パスワードで保護されたプログラムに対して、悪意のある第三者による攻撃が想定される場合には、保護機能を強化した最新版のPLCのご使用を推奨します。

【対策】

以下のCPUをご使用ください。

  • CJ2M　ユニットバージョン　Ver.2.1以降
  • CJ2H　ユニットバージョン　Ver.1.5以降

上記の推奨PLCで「拡張型パスワード」をご使用ください。
なお、本パスワードを使用する際には、CX-Programmerの最新版（Ver.9.6以降）が必要です。
