When you use the function with NS series PT, it is necessary to block unauthorized access from the outside.
We strongly recommend our customers to take the measures described below.

For IP address assignment

NS series PT is meant to be used within an intranet.
It is not recommended to assign a global IP because it may cause the danger such as unauthorized access.
Use the function with an intranet, or, if remote access is necessary, implement adequate measures to prevent unauthorized access.

Omron assumes no responsibility for any direct or indirect loss, damage and expense resulting from infection of our products, installed softwares, any computer devices, computer programs, network, and databases with the followings:
- DDoS attack （distributed DoS attack）,
- Computer virus and other technically harmful program, and
- Unauthorized access

For password setting for the function

When you use the function, your NS series PT is always protected by a password.
To activate password protection for Monitor function, enable User Authentication of Monitor Setting in Configuration/Menu of the function.

PT NSシリーズで本機能をご利用いただく場合、外部からの不正アクセスを防止するため、以下について必要な措置を取っていただく事を強く推奨します。

IPアドレス割り当て時の注意

PT NSシリーズは、イントラネットの範囲での利用を想定しており、グローバルIPを割り当てて使用する事は、外部からの不正アクセス等の危険にさらされる可能性があり推奨していません。

そのため本機能についてもイントラネットの範囲内でご利用いただくか、遠隔地からのアクセスが必要な場合は、お客様で不正アクセス防止についての十分な措置を講じてください。

なお、オムロンはDDoS攻撃（分散型DoS攻撃）、コンピュータウイルスその他の技術的な有害プログラム、不正アクセスにより、当社商品、インストールされたソフトウェア、またはすべてのコンピュータ機器、コンピュータプログラム、ネットワーク、データベースが感染したとしても、そのことにより直接または間接的に生じた損失、損害その他の費用について一切責任を負わないものとします。

本機能のパスワード設定時の注意

本機能を使用時、アクセス時はPT NSシリーズは必ずパスワードで保護されます。
ただしMonitor機能についてはパスワード保護を有効にする為には、本機能のMenu画面/Configurationページで「Monitor Setting」の「User Authentication」を有効にしてください。
